Litter collection on 2nd October 2021

Free our city forest from annoying rubbish: An autumnal rubbish collection event for the whole family.

On 2 October 2021, a rubbish collection event for families with children will take place around the meeting point at the Goetheturm in Frankfurt's city forest from 2 to 4 pm. As the initiator, together with Ankathrin Förster from Nachhaltig.Guide and Pia Krechel from Zero Waste Frankfurt, I brought the Family Cleanup at the Goetheturm to life for the first time.

In close cooperation with the Frankfurt cleanliness initiative #cleanffm, we organised the Family Cleanup this autumn, which was originally planned for last year. The local Goetheruh restaurant also supports all litter pickers with a "two-for-one" offer of hot and cold soft drinks.

After we had collected rubbish for the first time in the forest as a family, equipped with grabbers and rubbish bags, it was clear that we had to do this together with many families. It is simply unbelievable how much rubbish is collected, even though we actually think that environmental education is very important nowadays and that rubbish is disposed of properly.

So grab your kids and help out. We look forward to seeing you.
